Tatsuo Miyajima, a contemporary artist and chairman of the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" Project Executive Committee, is collaborating as a signature artist for "ART FAIR TOKYO 20," which will be held from March 13 (Fri) to 15 (Sun), 2026.
Under this collaboration, a special exhibition about the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" Project will be held in the "Encounters" section of the fair. Additionally, an interview will be featured in the "art NIKKEI Special Issue" (Nikkei Inc.) distributed for free at the venue.

About the Special Exhibition in the "Encounters" Section
At the "ART FAIR TOKYO 20" venue, we will introduce an overview of the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" Project, the construction of the "Sea of Time - Tohoku Museum" scheduled to be completed in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture in 2027, and the permanent artwork "Sea of Time - TOHOKU" within the museum.
The exhibition will allow visitors to experience the project through a video where Tatsuo Miyajima expresses his vision for the project and an installation showcasing the voices of participants. We will also present the latest perspective images based on the current concept of the museum, which is being designed by architect Tsuyoshi Tane.
In this project, 3,000 participants in the "Sea of Time - TOHOKU" artwork are positioned as co-creators (collaboration artists), and financial supporters for the project and museum construction are sought as support artists. This exhibition will display the names of past supporters and also recruit new financial supporters.
