We are pleased to announce the launch of the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" Project Support Initiative in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture, which utilizes the Corporate Hometown Tax Donation program.
Tomioka Town has positioned the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project as a key regional revitalization initiative expected to promote culture and the arts, foster new opportunities for interaction, and generate positive ripple effects throughout the town.
Donations received from corporations will be channeled through the "Tomioka Town Corporate Hometown Tax Donation Fund" to support the construction of the "Sea of Time Tohoku Museum," improve the area surrounding the museum, and promote public awareness and engagement with the project and the museum. The Corporate Hometown Tax Donation program is a system that, when corporations donate to regional revitalization initiatives undertaken by local governments, allows them to receive a reduction in tax burden of up to approximately 90% of the donation amount, in addition to the standard tax savings from treating the donation as a deductible expense.
We have published a page summarizing the overview of the program, eligible corporations, and the procedure for making a donation. We encourage all corporations considering support through this program to take a look.
Connecting the memories of the earthquake disaster to the future and building a new future for Tomioka Town, starting with culture. We invite all corporations to join us and support this endeavor.
