On Monday, March 11, 2024, we renewed the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project website.
"Sea of Time - Tohoku" Project Website
In this renewal, we have newly added "Vision: What the 'Sea of Time - Tohoku' Aims For" to introduce the achievements of our workshops and exhibitions over the past eight years, as well as our future activity policy.
Additionally, we have created a new page where you can experience the "thoughts of participants" submitted to the "time settings" so far. The thoughts of each participant, which are highly valued by "Sea of Time - Tohoku," will be updated and published irregularly in the future.
We have also updated the "Support" page for the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project.
The production and activity costs for "Sea of Time - Tohoku" are covered by Tatsuo Miyajima's personal funds and donations from those who support and sympathize with this project. We still lack sufficient funds for artwork production and construction costs.
The "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project positions those who provide financial support as "Support Artists" and will forever engrave their names on the completed artwork in the future. We would greatly appreciate your continued financial support.
Please visit the renewed "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project website and feel free to share your thoughts and impressions.
Furthermore, we are currently preparing to open an office in the Tohoku region with the aim of permanently installing the artwork. From there, we plan to seriously research locations overlooking the Tohoku sea.
We appreciate your continued support for the "Sea of Time - Tohoku" project.
Finally, today, Monday, March 11, marks 13 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Once again, we express our condolences to those who lost their lives in the Great East Japan Earthquake, and we extend our deepest respect to all those working tirelessly on reconstruction efforts and nurturing communities throughout Tohoku.
In addition, there was significant damage from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake at the beginning of this year.
We respectfully offer our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and extend our heartfelt sympathy to everyone affected by the disaster. We also express our profound respect to those dedicated to supporting the recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas.
We sincerely pray for swift recovery and for the peace and safety of all those affected.
